Steven Traue aka JayKosy,born 1983 in Berlin,Germany started his dj career in 2000. In 2006 he started his own first project with his partner evil alex its called *Twisted Metaforce*. They started producing Breakbeat music and released their first record on Dirty Funk in 2010. In 2007 JayKosy started his own first event, Wicked Tunes in Berlin. Quarterly they celebrate special Breakbeat partys with such guests as Leeroy Thornhill,Baymont Bross,Marten Hörger,Hardy Hard,Cherry,Freefall Collective & Mc Manic,Ed2000,Rollin Thunder and many more. Since 2008 he is a member of the legendary BassPlanet crew, which is hosted by WestBam,Hardy Hard & Lady Waks. Since that time he has mostly been traveling around places like Russia,Brasil,Spain and Poland.

Mars - Dubstep Bass Tutorial

I thought some of you people may be interested in the production side of music. This interesting tutorial was sent to me from XSSR Music founder Mars. This 2 part video describes the process of using various plugins in Ableton Live to produce a unique bassline as heard in most of Mars' dubstep and breaks tracks.

Quote "The core of the method is that the bass line consists not of one or two instruments, but rather a combination of various samples. As the result, we get a solid and interesting bass line. This technique works especially great in genres like breaks or dubstep."
