Quote "It's been over a year since I put a mix together, and for this one I wanted to give a good representation of where I feel breaks is today, and where it's going in the near future. 2010 saw the resurgence of plenty of the old school sounds, most important to me though is the gaining popularity of the good old fashioned sampled funk break - the breaks that early hip hop, jungle, breakbeat and hardcore were based on and made popular, like the Funky Drummer, Amen, Apache, Hot Pants, and Think breaks. Full of ravey sounds old and new, this one is heavy on the nu-jungle/140 jungle sound that made such a huge splash in 2010.
